100 days programme of Government of Kerala, Tech Talent programme for Model Residential School Students (MRS) was conducted by SIET, Kerala, at CUSAT, Kalamassery, Kochi in collaboration with CUSAT. The programme was intended for selected Scheduled Caste/Scheduled tribes students in Model Residential Schools (MRS) in our state for imparting basis knowledge on new technology primarily Bio Informatics, Nano Technology, Artificial intelligence/Robotics, Visual Technologies, Atmospheric Studies etc.

The programme was conducted from 10.03.2022 to 12.03.2022 at CUSAT, Kalamasserry, Kochi in collaboration with Cochin University of Science & Technology (CUSAT) as per the approval of the Hon. Minister for General Education and Chairman of SIET. Shri K.P. Krishna Das, former Academic Coordinator of SIET, and retired DEO was entrusted with the responsibility of coordinating the Tech Talent programme.

As many as 26 students, from Model Residential Schools participated in the programme.

Hon. Minister for General Education and Chairman of SIET, Kerala Shri V. Sivankutty inaugurated the programme on 10.03.2022.

Resource persons such as Dr. Honey John (Hon. Director, UCND), Dr. Suja Haridas (Department of Chemistry, CUSAT), Dr. Sreeja Narayanan (Department of Biology, CUSAT), Dr. Shaju.P. (Dept. of Centre for Science in Society, CUSAT), Dr. Saji. K.J. (ISP CUSAT), Dr. Prasanth Raghavan (Dept. of PSRT, CUSAT) and Dr. Aldrin Antony (CUSAT) imparted training to the students.

The programme concluded on 12.03.2022 with distribution of participation certificate by Hon. Minister for Industries, Law & Coir Shri P. Rajeev.
